ANTRIM District Policing Partnership (DPP) wants to hear the views of local young people and is taking the first step by attending a Student Health and Information Fair at Greenmount College on Wednesday, October 1 from 1-3.30 pm.
The DPP will be seizing the opportunity to discuss with the students, quality of life issues that can negatively impact on their physical and mental well being. They want to know if they have concerns about their safety or are worried about issues su
ch as assaults, bullying, car crime and safety on the roads.
DPP Chair, Councillor Pam Lewis commented: “Antrim DPP is delighted to be working with Greenmount College at the Student Health and Information Fair. We will be able to listen to the views of local students and then discuss with the police how these issues can be addressed, where possible”.
Pam continued: “This initiative is one element of the engagement strategy of Antrim DPP which also includes face to face engagement by DPP Members with the community or through postal questionnaires, focus groups and consultation via the website. This is the first opportunity for us to discuss issues which affect our young people and we will be consulting with other schools and colleges over a period of time.”
