ST Comgall's GAA Club made up for the disappointment of having to postpone their Community Fun Day, from the week-end of the 'Summer' deluge, with a hugely successful day out on the St Comgall's field.
A full programme of events was enjoyed by a steady stream of participants from age one to 81 throughout an action-packed afternoon.
With on-field entertainment provided by all the teams from under-eights through to under-16s to adults, including some among them whose hair was light in both colour and weight, there was much to engage the crowd.

Visiting teams from Belfast, Bellaghy, Ballymena and Rasharkin provided the opposition for a succession of exciting games, which kept the spectators entertained and amused.

One group of females even had their feathers ruffled when an exuberant Pete Lennon over-ran the playing area and athletically acrobated over them, which raised one of the most resounding applauses of the afternoon.

A wide range of activities was laid on for the children including the energetic, Bungee Bouncing, Inflatable Slides, Obstacle Courses and Target Practice, while many were keen to try their hand and their eye at the Poc Fada.

Organisers, Marie-Claire Mills and Amy McGurren were delighted with the big turn out and declared the day a massive success.
