GIFTED Gospel singer and Radio North presenter, Martin Moore has just released his new album, 'The Perfect Knowledge.'
This is the Ballymena man’s second CD and is a stunning successor to his hugely successful debut, ‘The Perfect Gift.’
Says Martin: “This new album includes more of my favourite gospel tracks and one song, Slemish Mountain, which was written by my
Grandfather, Martin Kennedy.”
“I dedicate it to my granny, who is approaching her 75th birthday. I want her to know how special she is and to thank her for all that he has done for me”, he said.
In truth however, every song on this 12-track compilation is very special and certain to delight Martin’s many listeners and admirers.
Amongst the most outstanding pieces is the uplifting ‘New Wine’, the genuinely classy, ‘Windows in Heaven’ and the poignant, ‘My Father knows’, which delivers a message about God’s compassion for those who are suffering.
The emotive, ‘God Bless All The Little Children’, which was also composed by Martin’s grandfather is also included and features four talented local youngsters, Nigel, Julie, Alison and Yasmin.
That family theme is maintained on track 11, ‘God Has Been So Good To Me’, where Martin gives thanks for his mum, dad, brother and sisters.
Certainly one of the rising stars of country gospel music, Martin is rightly proclaimed as, ‘the man with the unique voice. ‘
However, his sleeve notes rightly acknowledge the contribution of other fine musicians to this superb collection.
Producer, Clive Culbertson also plays bass and keyboards, Johnny Scott is on guitars, Charlie Adams plays a fine fiddle while Tony Phillips is excellent on drums. Beautiful backing vocals come from Maura Donaghy.
Martin is extremely happy with the new CD and early feedback has been extremely positive. Tracks have also received air-play on BBC Radio Ulster and Downtown Radio.
‘The Perfect Knowledge’ can be purchased at a cost of £12.99 by telephoning 028 256 85123 or 07843884404.
And don’t forget that you can also hear Martin’s ‘Count Your Blessings’ gospel show every Sunday on Radio North (846 MW) between 2pm-4.30pm.
