Autumn fun for all in local libraries

IT may be back to school for children but the fun hasn't stopped in local libraries with many activities being held including storytimes, Lotsatots, craft sessions and lots more.
Libraries are also keen to invite adults to attend a range of interesting events and activities, so see what your local library has on offer and make a date in the diary.

Antrim Library (High Street, 028 9446 1942)

For children / teenagers:

• Saturday Morning Storytime - taking place every Saturday at 11.30am. Storytime is for accompanied children only - six years old and younger. Everyone welcome to come along.

• Junior Reading Group - Are you age eight to 11 and love books, enjoy reading, plays and crafts? Antrim Library wants to hear from you! The Junior Reading Group meets on alternate Wednesdays from 3.30pm to 4pm. To join this group, please contact the library.

• Teenage Reading Group meets last Friday of every month after school, from 4pm to 5pm. New members welcome. Please contact the library if you’re interested in joining. This group will meet on Friday, September 26 at 4pm.

For adults:

• Adult Reading Group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm to 9pm. The next meeting is on Tuesday, September 16 at 7.30pm. Everyone welcome.

Crumlin Library (Orchard Road, 028 9442 3066)

For children:

• End of month Storytime - takes place on the last Friday of every month from 3.15pm to 3.45pm. All welcome (no need to book a place).

• Lotsatots fun – taking place in the library on the last Tuesday of each month – from 10.30am to 11.15am. All parents/carers are welcome to bring their babies and toddlers along for free stories, songs and rhymes.

For adults:

• New Adult Reading Group – will generally meet on the last Friday of every month from 6.45pm to 7.45pm.

Greystone Library (Greystone Road, 028 9446 3891)

For children:

• Lotsatots sessions in the library taking place on the first Monday of the month at 10am. All mums, dads and carers are welcome to bring their babies and pre-school children to enjoy free stories, songs and rhymes.

• The Children’s Reading Group (the Red Fox Reading Gang) meets weekly on Thursdays, from 3.30pm to 4pm.

For adults:

• Adult Reading Group, ‘Autumn Leaves’, meets on the 2nd Monday of every month, starting on Monday, September 8 from 11am to 12 noon. If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact Greystone Library in advance.
