YOUNG people across Antrim are being invited to apply to join the Fire Cadets.
Glengormley Fire Cadets are currently on the look out for new recruits - boys and girls who will be aged 14 or 15 on September 1 this year.

Cadets will be given an insight into the work of the Fire Service, including experience in the use of ladders, hoses and breathing apparatus. They will also get the opportunity to learn valuable first aid skills and take part in social events, charity fundraising projects and an outward bound weekend away.

Please note that applicants must live or go to school within the Glengormley Fire and Rescue Service District, which includes Antrim, and potential cadets may be asked to take part in an informal interview procedure.

Application forms are available by contacting Glengormley Fire Station, 165 Church Road, Glengormley, BT36 6HH, or telephone 9084 0225.

The closing date for entries is Friday, July 18.
